The Brit SalsafestTM is a joint venture between Salsa-UK and SalsologyTM, in particular Kate and Emma Moore from Salsology and Paul Young from Salsa-UK.

Kate Moore
Kate is a founding member/director of Salsology, the North of England’s premier salsa club night. Salsology is one of the largest events in the UK attracting 400+ dancers and Latin music lovers from across the country to each event. It has a national reputation as an event run by dancers for dancers, playing uninterrupted salsa music in a stylish environment, without compromise!
Kate is an Economics Graduate and holds Management and Personnel Management professional qualifications. She has 10 years working in the energy industry and extensive event management experience. She turned self-employed in 1998 and currently runs her own management consultancy/research business.
Kate has been a familiar face on the UK salsa scene for about 7 years. In addition to Salsology, Kate part-owns/manages Salsatribe, a dancewear business established in 2001. She also teaches weekly salsa classes On1 and On2 and has appeared as an invited guest at salsa events in the North and Midlands.
Paul Young
Paul Young is the brainchild and Director of Salsa-UK founded in 1999 with his partner Imogen when they promoted their first major event in Croydon. Since then they have gone from strength to strength and now host some of the UK's longest-running and well-supported events including Salsa Slams in London, Latin Splash festival on Clapham Common and several concerts & club nights featuring both renown international bands including Eddie Palmieri, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, teachers & DJs and world famous dancers.
Internationally Salsa-UK are best known for hosting one of the world's largest salsa congresses: The UK Salsa Congress hosted in Butlins, Bognor Regis. Now in its fourth year, The UK Salsa Congress is widely recognised as one of the foremost European dates to remember in the congress calendar.
With a wealth of organisational experience Paul and the Salsa-UK team continue to bring dancers, DJs and bands of the highest quality to their events with the aim of continually taking salsa events in the UK to the next level.
Emma Moore
Now based in the North of England, Emma's first degree was in dance performance from The London Studio Centre and she has subsequently worked in a number of dance companies worldwide. Although no longer dancing professionally, salsa has been a great escape for Emma who is a founding member/director of both Salsology and Salsatribe and regularly appears at some of the UK's premier events and congresses djing and teaching along with her partner Mushi.
Emma has spent the last 10 years in senior management predominantly in the leisure industry and is a marketing Post-Graduate.
More recently, Emma has combined her passion for design and graphics with her marketing expertise to form Marching Ants, a design and marketing house undertaking commissions and developing marketing strategy for a variety of industries.
